How to play Memory Grid
Remember where the symbols were, then pick them out once the grid disappears.
The four levels
| Level | Grid | Shown for | What's tricky |
|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 3×3 | 3 seconds | two colours |
| Moderate | 4×4 | 4 seconds | two clearly different symbols |
| Difficult | 5×5 | 5 seconds | two symbols that share a colour |
| Extreme | 5×5 | 6 seconds | two symbols that look almost alike |
How a round works
- The grid shows for a few seconds.
- It greys out, and you're told which symbol to find.
- Tap every square that held it, then Submit. The clock runs from the moment the grid disappears.
- A round counts only if you get every square, with no partial credit.
Each level has three rounds. Get all three right for stars. Finishing any level keeps your streak going.
Tips
- Look for shapes, not squares. Five scattered squares are hard to remember; “an L in the top corner plus one in the middle” is easy.
- Read it in rows, like a sentence: “yes, no, no, yes”.
- Count them. Knowing there were six helps you notice when you've only picked five.
- On Extreme, find the difference first. Spend the first second working out what makes the two symbols different, then scan.
Questions
- Is it the same grid for everyone?
- Yes, everyone gets the same grids each day.
- Can I replay?
- No, each grid can be played once, so the first try counts.
- Do I have to play in order?
- No, all four levels are open. Start wherever you like.
